We're Back!
Good morning!
Woke up this morning around 5:45 (still adjusting to this whole getting up early thing), pulled on my warm fuzzy bathrobe and headed to the kitchen to start breakfast in my new home. Just as I pulled the toast from the oven and the beloved coffee pot sounded it's alarm to let me know that it was ready to be poured, a handsome guy walked around the corner with a cheery grin. He gave me a big hug and said, "Good morning, beautiful". We ate breakfast at our new table and then had morning devotions. After praying together it was time for him to leave. I sent him off with a hug and a kiss and my day had officially begun.
I am a married woman.... :)
As I promised in my last post I will be starting a new online journal! I've been putting it off because I couldn't settle on a name. #ihatedecisions
The main reason for the delay though, is that right after Daniel and I got back from our honeymoon my dad had a major health scare and was hospitalized for several days. Praise the Lord, he is doing much better and is now home. Very thankful for my sweet husband that was willing to take off work and drive several hours down so that I could be with my daddy during that terrifying time.
I was reminded of just how fragile and uncertain life is. So thankful that I serve a sovereign God who works all things together for good.
Here is a sneak-a-peek of our wedding and honeymoon! :)
Yes, I was a barefoot bride.
New blog is in progress! Wishing you all a fabulous Friday!

thoughts of a soon to be bride
Friends tried to tell me that my months of engagement would fly, and fly they certainly have! So much has transpired since February 14th when my man asked me to marry him. There have been many special moments preparing for the day that we will say "I do". Sometimes I force myself to stop amidst the frenzy and just try to soak up all that is going on around me. I still have moments where I feel like I need to pinch myself to make sure that I am not just dreaming all of this up!
This past week standing in front of the mirror at my seamstress's home wearing my wedding gown was so incredibly surreal. I think every girl wonders what that moment will be like for her when she tries her dress on for the first time... I just stood there and tried to wrap my mind around the fact that in just a few short weeks I would be a bride.
The last time I posted I shared with you all that Daniel was out of the country. Those six weeks were tough on us both but also a growing time. Dad drove me to the airport to pick him up and when I looked down into the sea of people I immediately saw him! It was wonderful to have him home safe and sound!!!
My love for Daniel has grown so much deeper during our engagement. If you aren't the romantic type this might be a good time for you to quit reading. #sappypostalert ;)
Daniel has literally treated me like a princess since day 1 of our relationship. Neither one of us is perfect and the closer we get to each other the more our imperfections are magnified, but so is our love for each other. I am very thankful for the man that he is...The way he has prayed for me, encouraged me in my walk with Christ, held my hand when I was afraid, brought me chocolate when I'm sad, rubbed my feet when I was sick (even though he hates feet:) and having been my safe place to share even my stupidest thoughts.
Hey single ladies, great guys really do exist....THEY ARE STILL OUT THERE. :) :) **I live with four super cute ones. #mybrothersarethebest
Props to those of you who survived that last paragraph! :)
Some of you have been reading my blog for a long time and I want you to know that I plan to keep blogging even after I am married. Honestly, I am planning on posting a lot more afterwards.;) I have really missed writing and connecting with all my blogging buddies. However, getting married is not only the beginning of a new chapter but also the closing of one as well. With that being said, after I get back from my honeymoon I will be announcing the name and address of the new blog! Thank you all who have stuck with me this year with all the sporadic posting during my engagement and for being the amazing encouragement that you are.

My Fiancé Is On The Other Side of The World
Daniel has been out of the country for the last couple of weeks on a mission trip. He is on what his school calls the "capstone" trip and it is part of his degree. He was in Hungary for a while and now he is in Thailand. Several people were saved during their time in Hungary and I look forward to seeing what the Lord does while they are in Thailand. Please be praying for him and his team!!!
Thankfully we have been able to stay connected through e-mail and we were super excited to be able to Skype a couple of times! Having to be apart so much during our entire relationship is making our wedding day even more exciting! Saying "goodbye" is becoming harder and harder for me to say.
He will fly in July 24th and I am sooo ready to have him back! (:
Right before he left we completed our last counseling session with the pastor that is officiating the ceremony and we went to apply for a marriage license. I cannot even begin to describe what an incredibly surreal moment that was.
And of course my mom took a picture of us as we left... (:
While he has been away, I've been staying busy with wedding planning, packing, showers, and did I mention wedding planning?
My days are full as I try to juggle life at home with my busy family of nine and preparing for the future.
A friend was engaged shortly after I was and she and her fiancé are getting married the weekend after Daniel and I are. She too has a large family and it has been so good to talk to her about the joys and struggles during this season. She really encouraged me to make time for my siblings over the next couple of months. The closer we get to the wedding the crazier it gets, but I am doing my best to not miss the moments to spend time with my younger brothers and sisters.
(me and the sibs...minus Macheus)
Last Saturday a few of my amazing friends threw a wedding shower for me So many dear friends were there and it was such a fun afternoon. We took a bunch of pictures and I will post them soon!
